A Random Number Generator program has been developed by adelaide business bureaux using random function technology developed by Visual dBASE and included in their Rapid Application Development tool.

Computers cannot generate truly random numbers, but you can use the Visual dBASE Random Function to generate a series of numbers that appear to have a random distribution.

Pseudo-random numbers, when considered as a whole series, appear to be random; that is, you cannot tell from one number what the next will be. But the first number in the series is related to the seed value. A series of pseudo-random numbers relies on a seed value, which determines the exact numbers that appear in the series.

A seed value to 6 decimal places, based on the number of seconds past midnight on your computer system clock, has been used. Based on this seed the results are most likely to be a different series of random numbers each time.
